The Quality Use of Medicines smartphone-enabled website has been updated to include changes to hospital acquired pneumonia guidelines. With this site, you are only three clicks away from a treatment recommendation! See below for the range of guidelines available. Note that whilst Therapeutic Guidelines: Antibiotic remains the main resource, HNE guidelines, where approved, take precedence- they are generally more restrictive around use of broader spectrum agents, critical for reducing multi-resistant organism and C. difficile prevalence.
Other useful resources:
- Infectious Diseases management advice for HNELHD
- Severe sepsis guidelines, including blood culture collection advice (CEC)
- HNELHD cumulative antibiograms
- HNELHD Signal analyses – MRSA, MSSA, VRE, CPE, Streptococcus pneumoniae (HNE Intranet site) (contact J Ferguson for copies)

How do I find the smartphone app?
I have looked on the Apple Store.

Hi Rebecca, just bookmark the URL for the page and it will link to the site. It is not an App as such! Just an html5 website that is adapted to a phone screen.
